Hello My Name Is...
Hello, welcome to my website. I would like to introduce myself and give you some background information. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern Nevada. I attended Arizona State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary, and Special Education. My minor is in Psychology. I worked in the Tempe School District and did my student teaching at Rural Elementary School in Tempe, Arizona in Kindergarten.
My first official job was teaching a self-contained class of first through third grade students with learning disabilities at Aguilar Elementary in Tempe. I got married and then worked at Gale Elementary in the Tucson Unified School District.
After a few years of teaching, we moved back up to Nevada where my first child, a precious daughter was born. We spent time under wide open skies with family, ranching and living a good life.
After about 3 years we went to work for a company that transferred us back to the southwest. That place was El Paso, Texas. I had my second child within the year, a little boy that has brought joy to our lives ever since. I started back into the teaching world here in El Paso at Zavala Elementary. I spent two years there, and then moved to Mesita Elementary to teach second grade. Mesita became my home for the next seventeen years. I then began the Master's Program at UTEP.
